in which way does having a band called "the witch" go against religon? i understand the witches are considerd in cristianity as evil, against god ect, this belief has more to do with the strict, closed minds of the catholic church in the victorian times rather than the teachings of god. it is not like this any more time has changed. is god really going to be pissed off if the band is called that? if god is really that petty i would not want to be part of his religon. p.s also in teachings of the bible cristians are also not ment to save money where it will gather interest (eg a bank) but will scooter be closing all his bank accounts, think not!
both names suck but "when november falls" is to pretentious and emo sounding.

The Christian issues with witches began long before the Victorian era. If one believes that God essentially wrote the Bible, then the belief that witches are evil does come from God. Exodus 22:18 sates "thou shalt not suffer a witch to live." It seems God really hates them. No, it's pretty much still like that. The term "witch" still makes the typical American Christian at least a little uneasy. They cannot give a universal definition for "witch", but that doesn't stop them from being squeamish about it. Then don't be. I have never known a single participant of any religion to be able to follow every aspect of the religion's respective holy book. Religion is personal. Changing a band's name is benign and of little consequence outside of Scooter himself, and, thus, shouldn't be faulted. He should do what feels right to him. Not to mention, if he hopes to attract a Christian audience, the name change was necessary.

Scooter posted new blog today about the upcoming debut record:
NEW RECORD INFO: GOING BACK TO MY ROOTS WITH I AM: WOLFPACK
I have chosen to sign with super producer Ross Robinsons new label I AM: Wolfpack. Ross was the producer who started Cold with us from back in the day. He did our first record. I am beyond blessed that we found each other again. And people who know what Ross does for music will better comprehend what this record is going to be, and that is powerful!
Ross was the one that taught me how to express my emotion through my voice. I owe him everything. Recording will start June 1st in Los Angeles. Record release should be in fall. The label is brand new. When November Falls and Wes Borland's (Limp Bizkit's) new band Black Light Burns will set it off. I appreciate everyone patience and support and I love all of you.

damn...recording in june...
as for the comment made that stated:
p.s also in teachings of the bible cristians are also not ment to save money where it will gather interest (eg a bank) but will scooter be closing all his bank accounts, think not!
--- that is in no way true, it is a confusion of a belief but not the belief itself. Christians wer eunable to GIVE loans and charge interest which opened that trade up to the jewish people and is a reason why many jewish people are considered 'good with money' (because they were the only people who could give loans). Also, as stated, the hoarding of money was not encouraged (but was also not shunned). So the belief is... having money is ok as long as other people are able to share with you, and in that sharing are not required to give more then they shared if a repayment is necessary.
NOT that they cant save money in banks

I get to know that Sierra Swan is doing a new album with a re-recording of "You Got Away" (feat. Scooter). The whole song is gonna be re-recorded, also Scooter's vocals. I don't know when it's gonna be released, but great news though.

I personally liked the witch better and no its not against anyone's religion, thats a foolish statement. witches have been in existance since the biblical times. No they werent good but hey, even scooter said thats what he look at as the most evil or something like that. but I was used to the witch. oh well. yes, it does go againt ppls religion... if youve ever read the bible you would know... srry for the triple post.... Witches don't exist, they're fiction. Kids stories. Or at best, exaggerated medieval herbalists/scientists, kinda like how much the Bible could be. (Side Note : You cannot prove that the Bible, mostly the New Testament, is fact or fiction, it was thought up more than one and and half thousand years ago, end of story.) To get offended by the the name of a band called "The Witch" is ignorance. I assume the Harry Potter novels and films also offend religions? Back on topic, the band seems like it's going pretty good, albeit it's a bit different to what I liked about Cold, it seems as if he's trying to appeal to the mainstream in some sense.

It doesn't do damage to the actual religions, but it offends over-protective idiot members of the religions (as opposed to the actual leaders of the religion, who I very much doubt that they care what Harry does).
Anyways, I asked this in another thread, but I'll ask again. Where has the rest of the band now gone, after this split up? I mean, Scooter's great and all, but what about the rest?
